Bath Time for Babies

We're still bathing the kittens every few days with the medicated shampoo.

While I remain grateful that we've been excused from the every-single-stinking-day bath on the prescription label...

The kittens would rather we were done with the bathing entirely.

"Hey, Lady.  I don't know if you got the memo, but Eloise is the one that DOESN'T have the ringworm."

But as long as there's ringworm in the room, the baths will continue. :-(
At least it's summertime and they have warm, sunshiny windows for drying.

Eloise learned a new trick on Tuesday... climb up the sweatshirt and hide in the hood.

She learned it from her brother Porter, who has quite clearly had enough of this nonsense.

****************************************************

"Don't mind me.  I'm just hanging out here, infecting up your bathrobe."

"What??  You would like us to get off of it?"

"Maybe Henry will just stay here until you promise not to knock it off with the water."

  1. Oh the poor babies....
Do you have to do anything to stop their skin from drying out?

    1. No, they only get the baths 2 or 3 times a week which really hasn't seemed to be enough to cause damage (thankfully). On the other hand, my hands are raw and scratchy from having to scrub every time I touch one of the darlings.

  2. Oh my, what sweet hot messes they look like today. But who knew that Henry had such gorgeous stripes/spots in that second to last picture (or is that Eloise)? (What's with the second to last pictures today)

    1. That would be Henry in the front. He is lighter in coloring and more spotted than darker, stripier, bat-eared Eloise :-)

Thankfully, they're looking better and better every day. Eloise doesn't have a single, solitary spot on her. Henry has a couple, but they've never progressed past the "Oh dear, I should keep an eye on that" stage. Porter's very first welt is disappearing by leaps and bounds and the others have stopped growing. I'm hedging my bets and expecting things to remain the same (or even get worse), but I'm optimistic that things are looking up.

  3. poor kids - tell them it could be worse - they could have to be dipped in lyme sulfur and smell very much bad and turn yellow until it drys. THAT is nasty.....
