Also known as "The Misadventures of Trying to Get Five Kittens to Cooperate for Photos"
Willie Rae, Florence, Clay, Lionel, and Roxie line up for a family photo.
We start with 4/5 of the family kind of looking in the right direction...
And then it all goes downhill from there.
Nope...
That won't do...
Not quite...
Lionel, get off your sister.
This isn't what I had in mind.
This either.
Hey.... it's not naptime yet.
"Lionel wanted to take a nap!"
Umm.... Clay? Where are you going, Clay?
Florence? You and Clay need to get back in line, please.
Well, now this is really getting out of hand.
I'm tired just watching them.
No wonder Mother Jefferson keeps trying to escape.
Goals for This Weekend:
1. Get more photos of Mother Jefferson
(who is always too busy rubbing on my legs to be bothered to pose)
2. Shuffle the fosters to get the Jeffersons out of the bathroom.
3. Take a nap
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Ah, the zombie lurch-crawl. Kittens are so CUTE at that age!
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed at how fast they are, even without the ability to walk. If they want to get some place, they will.
DeleteWell, really. They're BRAND NEW eyeballs. They don't know how to work 'em yet! :)
ReplyDelete4 out of 5 kittens have mastered different displays of emotion with their eyeballs... grumpy, tired, mild interest, amazement. Florence has a continual look of surprise in those big round eyes. She always makes me laugh without meaning to :-)
DeleteLOL Kelly-totally cute post today! I think maybe I will try to nap this weekend too. I need to save up my energy for my new kitty. We decided on the black and white one who is named Oreo. We will probably keep the name. I am also going to need to figure out how/where to post pics so that everyone can see them.
ReplyDeleteYay Yay Yay Yay YAY!!!! I can't WAIT to see more of Oreo (Sir Oreo? Princess Oreo? It's a unisex name, so help me out)
DeleteIf you find you're having trouble with links here in the Blogger comments, you can always e-mail photos to me at teenytinytabbies (at) gmail (dot) com and I'll do the uploading for you. I promise not to spam you or anything. In fact, I often forget I have this email address as it is only for the blog and I read comments here instead of the inbox over there. ((So I guess you should tell me here that you're sending pictures there))
good plan. I have had people ask - why are so many of your foster pictures taken when they are asleep? I say - have YOU ever tried to get pictures of kittens in motion?? doesn't matter age or size - they will get around no matter what (though they are adorable all piled up)
ReplyDeleteMother Jefferson is IMPOSSIBLE to photograph at the present time. Between the cramped, darker bathroom space and her demand for attention, the only photos I have of her are blurry as she rubs my legs or meows at me to pay attention. And I have yet to be able to sneak up on her while she sleeps. Perhaps when we get her moved to the foster room, it will become easier.
DeleteThe kittens are just plain wiggles with fur.
Great post, they look so little and but still SO wiggly. I found a new cat toy! A local farmer was selling peacock feathers at a road-side stand. A fist-full for $5. I'm throwing a feather party for my crew this weekend. Then we'll nap.
ReplyDeleteOoooh! I can't wait to hear about the peacock feather party. The Detroit Zoo has wandering peacocks. If your kits love the plumes, I may go see what I can find lying around at the zoo to bring home for these guys. ((And then I'll nap while they play))
Deletelol.. I love seeing other people having as much problem as I do getting photos of kittens! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAnd even when I get a picture in focus, it's rare that it's the picture I intended ;-)
