Ring Her Belle

You can ring her Belle (elle--ell--ell)
Ring her Belle

Well, you could ring her Belle.
If you wanted to adopt her...
and buy her a pretty collar with a bell upon it.

And you know what you could sing to her, then?

Jingle Belles
Belle is swell
(Take her home today!)

And when she finishes laughing at you,
She'll let you snuggle her and sing some more...

Belle, Bellie, Boo
You know I love you
I'll always be true
So ple-ee-ee-eeeeeeeeese
Love me too
Oh, oh, love me too

Look there she is a girl who's very special
A most engaging mademoiselle
It's a pity and sin
Her forever home has been
So long in coming for our Belle.

She really is a funny girl
A beauty and a funny girl
Our Belle.

"HEY! That's enough singing! Tell the people why they want to adopt the Belle already!"

Okay, I suppose we got a little off track. Why do you want to adopt our Belle?

Well, why WOULDN'T you want to adopt our Belle?

Belle Mayweather has grown up before our eyes. She's not a baby anymore, but she's still an exceptionally delightful kitten who would LOVE to love you.

Belle is a lover of all creatures. She adores her fellow kittens. She enjoys the big goofy dog in the house. But best yet, she loves loves LOVES her people. Belle is always ready for a hug and a snuggle. She purrs ALL the time. Her heart is huge and gentleness spills out of her soul and into everything she does.

Belle is a playful kitten who enjoys romping with her brother and sisters in the foster room. Her favorite toys are small things that she can carry and chase... sparkle balls and foil crinkle balls are on the top of her list. She enjoys chasing the feather teaser, but often cedes her position within the game to her powerhouse of a sister.

But she does swoop in when Garnet has completely exhausted herself and makes sure to get a turn.

Belle is sometimes overshadowed by her effervescent and high-energy sister, but believe me... she's every bit as special. Belle is quieter and calmer. She is happy to sit back and watch the world (in fact, her favorite spot lately is on the window sill). She will make a fabulously loving lap cat. Her easy-going nature will make her an ideal addition to just about any family... big, small, quiet, rambunctious, animals or not. Belle will quietly adjust and fit in beautifully.

And have you noticed how drop-dead gorgeous she is????

Belle is a marbled tabby (which means her pattern is more of a swirl than a stripe). Her brown tabby daddy and orange mama blended their patterns together to make an intensely beautiful girl.

She honestly is as stunning as any museum painting. Her orange is striking and almost feathered in. I swear it changes from day to day and week to week, and only becomes more beautiful as time goes by.

She's all packed up and ready to join your family. You'd better hurry while she's still small enough to fit in the box ;)

As always, you can reach me with any questions or interest through the comments, the message box on the Facebook page, or at teenytinytabbies AT gmail DOT com.

Belle Mayweather is 5 months old, spayed, and has received all of her kitten and rabies vaccinations. She lives in suburban Detroit, Michigan but will consider travelling to meet her forever family. Remember, the answer can't possibly be "yes" if you never ask the question. ;)

And if you're local? Belle will be attending the PetSmart adoption event on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. She will be at the store in Chesterfield, Michigan (on Gratiot, just north of 23 Mile Road... conveniently located between Meijers, Home Depot, and Michaels. Just think! You can pick up a kitten and get all of your errands done in the same afternoon!)

Game Time!

The All Stars are just a bit busy this evening.

"DUDE! It's game time. Shouldn't you be doing something else right now?"

"Please excuse us while we endeavor to move on in the American League playoffs."

"Miggy and Princess have baseballs to hit now."

"Max is just going to sit in the dugout looking cute."

We'll be back tomorrow. GO TIGERS!!!

Eeny Meeny Miney...

How on earth do you go about choosing a new kitten for your family? Especially when presented with a good looking and incredibly sweet bunch like the ones that live in my foster room? Well, it's just lucky for you that I am here to play matchmaker and help you to find the perfect kitten for your home.

Take Garnet for example...

Sure, she looks squinty and distrusting and a bit grumpy (and maybe that angle plays on the blog for fun from time to time). But in reality?

Garnet is a wide-eyed, trusting, affectionate kitten who is full of fun and absolutely perfect for an active family.

Our Garnet is the first kitten at the door to say hello when I arrive. Her gigantic purr and frenetic leg rubs express ten tons of love coming out of one teeny tiny body.

She's also the first to play when the toys come out from their hiding spots (and often the first to put them back underneath the tables and furniture and kitty beds too).

And while she's playful on her own, what she really wants is to play with you.

Or your clothes... no drawstring escapes her attention.

Feather teasers have been a favorite since she was very small.

She jumps and flips and flops after those feathers for as long as the feathers are willing to move. And when the feathers are done moving?

She collapses into a heap on the floor and...

Pants like a puppy dog.

Her sense of adventure knows few boundaries. Garnet spent most of her younger days climbing the old ratty curtains in the foster room and napping on the curtain rod over the door. (Psst... keeping her nails trimmed also keeps her closer to the floor, but Garnet's new family will definitely want to invest in a climbing tower to give her an appropriate roost from which to survey her world).

Garnet is a friend to all, whether it be another kitten...

Or a big goofy dog...

Or her favorite person (or people).

And have we discussed how absolutely stunningly drop-dead gorgeous Garnet is?

"No, Lady... Garnet does not believe we have discussed that yet."

Our Garnet is a beautiful spotted tabby, with striking stripes upon her legs and the most glorious splotch of orange across her forehead.

She is absolutely okay with it if you kiss that splotch, in fact... she's come to expect it.

And if you're exceptionally lucky, you'll get a kiss from her in return.

So if you're looking for an engaging...

Loving...

Active...

Adventuresome and...

Hilariously funny kitten with which to spend your life...

Why not choose Garnet?

"Yeah... Why not choose Garnet?"

Or even better?

Take two. They're small :)

If you have room in your heart and life for Garnet and would like to discuss the possibility of adding her to your home, you know where to find me (in the comments or at teenytinytabbies AT gmail DOT com).

And if Garnet isn't right for your home, why not share her story with someone else?

Garnet Mayweather is located in suburban Detroit, Michigan but we might be willing to transport her out of the area for just the right family. What matters most is that you will love our girl as much as we do.

Holding Pattern

We're not quite certain how to feel tonight as our All Stars' namesake Detroit Tigers are on the brink of playoff elimination.

"They kind of stink like these feet, Lady."

"Max doesn't WANT to pitch tonight. Max wants to pitch THURSDAY!"

(Okay, that's what the Lady wants... Max to pitch on Thursday.)

"Well, Miggy just got a hit. Your turn, Princess."

(For the uninitiated, Miguel Cabrera hits immediately before Prince Fielder in the Tigers' lineup.)

Things might be looking up around here.

(Okay, this isn't a great picture but it DOES showcase Princess's soul patch).

Only time will tell if we look like this later:

"WooHOO! YEAH! We did it, Tigers!"

Or like this:

"Who cares? It's not like Garnet's on the team anyway. Harrumph!"

"Wake Belle up when it's over."

*****************************************
Edit:

"Hey Belle! Belle! Wake up. It's over! TIGERS WIN!!!!!!!"

The human Max Scherzer pitched two relief innings of intense baseball for the win and the Tigers take the series to a 5th and deciding game on Thursday.

If Justin Verlander pitches like Justin Verlander and takes us to the next round of the playoffs, this little girl's name will officially become Maxie Justine. We haven't consulted her and don't quite care what she thinks about it... but we think she'll approve.

Belle In A Box

Miss Belle just loves her box.

She has since she was very small.

Right through this very day, she naps in it.

Although there's not much room left in it at all. :)

If you have a box with slightly roomier accommodations (or would be willing to procure one in the near future), Belle would like to discuss a more permanent arrangement with you. She is available and ready for adoption whenever you are.

***********************************

Yep, they're still at it.

The kittens have decided that examining the workings of the door while open would be educational for escape opportunities while the door is closed.

Perhaps they should talk to Levi Madison to find out how it's done.

Or perhaps not.
