Breaking the News to Mama

"What do you mean... My babies have worms?????"

"No, Lady... I'm not angry with you."

"Just so very disappointed..."

Speaking of disappointed...

Can you believe no one has stepped forward to claim this gorgeous girl yet??

Who could resist the curly whiskers?

Who wouldn't want to kiss that beautiful nose?

And have I mentioned the toes?

Oh gracious... those toes!!!!!!

She lets you touch them, too.

"Big Deal! Ruby gots toes too!!!!!!!!!!"

"Wanna see?"

I will admit that we haven't tried very hard to find Mama's home yet. We've been a bit preoccupied with ringworm and kitten baths and Broadway musicals. After passing through a pretty fair incubation period to make sure Mama doesn't have the fungus (she looks good!), I will be uploading her to Petfinder tonight. I love having her gentle soul upstairs in the family room but it's time to find her a home of her own.

Today's the day that we take Mama's direction and bring her babies to the vet. They will receive their second round of shots and a thorough examination with a black light.

I'm hoping for the best and expecting the worst. Of course, "the worst" just means that we'll be spending more time like this:

I can handle it and so can they. I'll be back tomorrow with the vet report.

  1. paws crossed for no more wet kittens!!! we bet Mama gets snatched up in no time :)

  2. Clarice is so pretty. I hope the babies are okay and your life settles out a bit. I left a comment on Robyn's blog about her poll. You were a part of Oreo's coming here too :)

  3. Ooh Kelly, I just found this after being reminded of it. I'm guessing it's the one you DIDN'T link to yourself, but I love them both. There are so many lovely sunshine songs. I can find more if you need :P

  4. *sigh* ruby toes are awesome!

well yes no more wet kittens would be a good thing, but it means no more wet kittens which are really freakin cute!!
